The Programme

For our Primary 1 English enrichment programme, the aim is to introduce your child to the learning of the English language as according to the primary school curriculum.

Your child will cultivate an interest in the language by learning, thinking and questioning about the world beyond.

Our programme adopts a tailored and comprehensive curriculum which gives your child a firm grasp of the language fundamentals.

To help in your child’s learning, our Primary 1 English enrichment programme aims to provide a strong foundation for your child and pave the way for your child to be an independent learner.

Learning Outcomes

Our English enrichment programme for primary 1 pupils seek to achieve the following learning outcomes :

Grammar and Vocabulary

Pupils will learn the grammatical syllabus, grammatical rules and thematic vocabulary.

Most importantly, our programme focuses on the learning process by using keywords to answer with precision

Cloze and Comprehension

Your child will learn the answering techniques for the different types of comprehension questions.

Writing

Your child will learn how to write in a progressive and systematic manner. Read here to learn more on what we advocate for writing at Primary 1.

For Primary 1 pupils, we emphasize the writing of sentences by using proper sentence structures.

To write a logical story using sequential actions based on 4 pictures , your child will learn to plan a story with our SPACE writing strategy.

Through introduction and reinforcement of vocabulary, your child will learn to write with vivid verbs.
